As a Senior Manager of Technology, you will lead the technical execution of enterprise e-commerce solutions, driving innovation, scalability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver robust platform-based commerce packages that meet and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade e-commerce platforms.
  • Define and execute technical strategies aligned with the client's business goals.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring high quality, timeliness, and scalability of solutions.
  • Act as a technical advisor to clients, translating business needs into innovative technical solutions.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams to foster skill development and engineering excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
  • Integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organisational objectives.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.

Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce platform development and delivery.
  • Deep expertise in leading e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Adobe Commerce (Magento), SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Proficiency in microservices architecture, API-first design, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong background in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Proven experience in managing complex e-commerce implementations for enterprise clients.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimisation, scalability, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in leading e-commerce platforms or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with headless commerce architecture and MACH principles.
  • Proven leadership in managing globally distributed technical teams.
  • Knowledge of omnichannel commerce strategies and customer experience design.
  • Thought leadership in e-commerce through speaking engagements or publications
