Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive business strategies through actionable insights and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Act as the primary liaison between business teams, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Evaluate current business processes and identify areas for improvement through process mapping, gap analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose innovative solutions that align with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
- Use data analysis and visualization tools to derive insights, track KPIs, and support decision-making.
- Define and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business needs.
- Provide support during the implementation phase, including training, documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
- Guide and mentor junior business analysts and other team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Ensure all solutions comply with organizational and industry standards, policies, and best practices.
Keys skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 plus years in a senior capacity.
- Strong expertise in requirement gathering, business process modeling, and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence or Visio.
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field.
- Certifications like CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or similar.
- Familiarity with APIs, system integration, and enterprise software solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with tools like Azure DevOps.
- Industry experience in [e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Retail, etc.].
